Sip Nebraska Fall is a wine, craft beer, spirits, and cider tasting festival held annually at Haymarket Park Ballpark in Lincoln, Nebraska. Organized by Blur Events, the festival celebrates Nebraska's beverage industry and has grown steadily since its founding in 2014 as a wine-focused event. Over the years it has expanded to include craft breweries, cideries, and spirits producers from across the state.
The 2025 fall edition takes place on Saturday, September 27, running from 11 AM (early access) through 9 PM. Tasting tickets include parking, event entry, a tasting glass, and unlimited tastings of wine, hard cider, craft beer, and spirits. A limited Early Access tier (capped at 500 tickets) grants entry two hours before general admission along with a welcome gift. Designated driver tickets are available for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere without alcohol.
The festival features live music, lawn games, food trucks, artisan vendors, and screens showing college football games. It is a rain-or-shine event with free parking included in every ticket tier. Door prices are $10 more than advance purchase, so buying early is encouraged.
Sip Nebraska launched in 2014 as a wine-focused tasting event in Lincoln, the brainchild of Blur Events, a local event production company. At a time when Nebraska's craft beverage scene was still finding its footing, the festival offered a platform for the state's wineries to reach a wider audience. But as Nebraska's craft brewing and distilling industries grew through the mid-2010s, Sip Nebraska grew with them, expanding to include craft beer, hard cider, and spirits alongside its original wine lineup. The evolution mirrored a broader trend in the state: Nebraska's beverage producers were diversifying, and drinkers wanted a festival that reflected the full range of what was being made locally.
Now in its second decade, Sip Nebraska operates as two seasonal editions — a spring festival and the marquee fall event at Haymarket Park Ballpark in Lincoln. The fall edition has become a full-day affair running from morning through evening, with unlimited tastings, live music, lawn games, food trucks, artisan vendors, and college football on the big screen — a nod to the fact that in Nebraska, fall Saturdays belong to football almost as much as they belong to anything else. An Early Access tier capped at 500 tickets creates a VIP-lite experience without the steep price jump common at other festivals, and the accessible $65 tasting ticket (with Designated Driver options at $15) keeps the event welcoming. Sip Nebraska occupies an unusual space in the festival world: it is neither purely a beer fest nor a wine event, but a celebration of Nebraska's entire craft beverage ecosystem under one roof — or, more accurately, under an open prairie sky.
