Burp Fest at Capitol Beer Fest 2027

The Capitol Beer Fest is Sacramento's signature outdoor beer festival, transforming four blocks of Capitol Mall — the grand boulevard stretching from the State Capitol to Tower Bridge — into one of Northern California's largest craft beer celebrations each March. Now in its 16th year, the event has become a beloved Sacramento tradition that pairs world-class beer tasting with a powerful charitable mission.

The festival was founded by Randy Seevers through Runnin' for Rhett, a nonprofit established in 2007 that channels 100% of Capitol Beer Fest proceeds into youth fitness programs. This foundation of purpose has given the festival a heart that extends well beyond the beer, connecting thousands of attendees each year to a cause that promotes health and wellness for Sacramento's young people. The event's growth from a modest first-year gathering to a massive street festival with over 100 brewers is a testament to both the quality of the experience and the community's enthusiasm for supporting its mission.

The scale of Capitol Beer Fest is impressive: over 100 brewers pour their finest alongside 20 food trucks, while four DJs, a live band, craft vendors, and beer games keep the energy high across the sprawling four-block footprint. VIP ticket holders enjoy an extra hour of access starting at 11 AM, while general admission begins at noon and runs until 3 PM.
