The Florida Craft Beer Festival is organized by the Florida Brewers Guild, the nonprofit trade association committed to preserving the rights and interests of all craft brewers throughout the state of Florida. Founded in 1996, the Guild has been instrumental in helping increase bottle size standards, permitting the influx of import and craft beers into the market, and fostering the growth of craft beer across Florida. The festival serves as a major public-facing event for the organization.
The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, March 7, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Sulphur Springs Water Tower venue in Tampa. The festival features 70+ breweries pouring over 200 beers, alongside food trucks, vendors, a DJ, and the inaugural People's Choice Awards. VIP ticket holders gain entry one hour early with access to a shaded VIP area with chairs and tables. All attendees receive a commemorative FBG Craft Beer Fest sampling glass.
Ticket pricing follows a tiered structure: Early Bird pricing (through December 31, 2025) starts at $50 for General Admission and $70 for VIP. Regular pricing (January 1 through February 28, 2026) is $60 GA and $80 VIP. Day-of pricing rises to $65 GA and $90 VIP. Designated Driver tickets are available at $20. The event is 21+, pets are allowed on leash, free parking is available, and the festival is a rain-or-shine event.
The Florida Brewers Guild has been fighting for craft beer in the Sunshine State since 1996, when a group of Tampa-area brewers banded together to form a nonprofit trade association. Their original mission was practical: unite a fragmented industry for advocacy and best-practice sharing in a state where regulations had long favored large distributors over small producers. Over the decades the Guild helped increase bottle size standards, open the market to a wider range of import and craft beers, and foster the growth of an industry that now boasts more than 110 operating craft breweries statewide. Florida's craft beer market has grown at roughly 22 percent -- nearly double the national average of 11.4 percent -- a dramatic turnaround for a state that was notoriously late to the craft beer revolution.
The Florida Craft Beer Festival serves as the Guild's most visible public event and its largest annual gathering. It typically kicks off Tampa Bay Beer Week, a week-long celebration of the region's thriving brewery scene, linking the Guild's statewide mission to Tampa Bay's identity as one of the nation's top beer destinations. The festival brings together 70-plus breweries from across Florida, pouring more than 200 beers in a single afternoon. Since its inception around 2016, the event has moved through several Tampa venues; the 2026 edition is set at the Sulphur Springs Water Tower, adding a new backdrop to the experience.
What distinguishes the Florida Craft Beer Festival from the crowded field of Southeastern beer events is its direct connection to legislative advocacy. Every ticket purchased supports the Guild's ongoing work in Tallahassee, where the fight for fair market access and sensible craft beer regulation continues. The 2026 edition also introduces the inaugural People's Choice Awards, giving attendees a vote in recognizing the state's best breweries. For Tampa, a city whose brewing roots stretch back to the 19th-century Ybor City lager houses, the festival is both a celebration of history and a bet on the future.
