Burp Fest at Suwanee Beer Fest 2027

The Suwanee Beer Fest launched in 2011 as a community-minded craft beer celebration in the suburban Atlanta city of Suwanee, organized by the metro-Atlanta event production company Big South Productions. From the start, the vision was to create something that felt like more than just a tasting event — an experience carefully curated from the breweries and beer selection to the games, entertainment, vendors, and sponsors. That attention to detail paid off. Over the years, the festival has grown to welcome more than 6,000 attendees from across the country, with over 100 breweries pouring more than 400 craft beers, and the amount of planning involved has become nothing short of extraordinary.

The accolades tell the story of a small-town festival that punches well above its weight. USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards voted Suwanee Beer Fest the number-one beer festival in the entire country in both 2022 and 2025 — a distinction that puts this Georgia gathering ahead of far larger and older events. Held annually on St. Patrick's Day weekend at Suwanee Town Center Park, the festival has also built a meaningful charitable legacy, donating more than $220,000 to local organizations including Cooper's Crew, a fund created in honor of Cooper O'Brien, who lost his battle with a rare cancer at just 14 years old. The dedicated Georgia Beer Garden, showcasing 70-plus Peach State breweries, has become a highlight that reinforces the festival's role as a champion of the state's booming craft beer scene. For a city of roughly 20,000 people, hosting the country's top-rated beer fest is a remarkable point of pride — and proof that Suwanee's favorite day, as locals have come to call it, has earned its national reputation.
