The Mountain Brewers Beer Fest is one of the longest-running craft beer festivals in the Intermountain West, celebrating its 31st year in 2026. Hosted by the North American Brewers Association at Sandy Downs in Idaho Falls, the festival brings together 100 breweries with hundreds of beers, hard seltzers, ciders, and other beverages across 40,000 square feet of tent space. The 2026 edition takes place Saturday, June 6, noon to 5:00 PM. Early bird tickets are $40 through May 30, increasing to $50 from May 31 through event day. All tickets include unlimited pours. No tickets sold at the gate — advance purchase only. Rain or shine event with food vendors, live music, raffles, and silent auctions. 21+ only.
The Mountain Brewers Beer Fest traces its roots to 1996, when the North American Brewers Association was founded with a mission to celebrate craft brewing and support charitable causes. The festival became the organization's flagship event, establishing Sandy Downs in Idaho Falls as an annual gathering point for craft beer lovers from across Idaho, the Mountain West, and beyond. Over three decades, it has grown from a regional curiosity into one of the most significant beer festivals between the Rockies and the Pacific Northwest.
The scale is impressive for a city the size of Idaho Falls: 100 breweries pouring under 40,000 square feet of tent space. The no-gate-sales policy creates a defined crowd and rewards early planning. The North American Brewers Association also hosts the International Beer Awards in conjunction with the festival, adding a competitive element that draws serious breweries looking to earn recognition. The combination of charitable mission, three decades of tradition, and an impressive beer lineup has made the Mountain Brewers Beer Fest an annual pilgrimage for craft beer enthusiasts in the region.
