Good Beer Festival is a two-day craft beer celebration held annually at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore. Organized by Wicomico County Tourism, the festival offers unlimited tastings of craft brews alongside live music, games, food vendors, and artisan peddlers. The Friday evening session (5:00-10:00 PM) is the only nighttime beer festival on the Eastern Shore, while the Saturday afternoon session (12:00-5:00 PM) offers a more traditional daytime atmosphere. Now in its 16th year, Good Beer Festival has become a fall tradition on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
The 2026 Good Beer Festival runs Friday, October 9 (5:00-10:00 PM) and Saturday, October 10 (12:00-5:00 PM). Early Bird drinking tickets are $33 (sales close October 2 at 5:00 PM), with regular drinking tickets at $43. Non-drinking tickets are $13. Each ticket is valid for one day only. The festival features breweries from across the region, including local favorites like Evolution Craft Brewing, Burnish Beer Co., and Dogfish Head.
Maryland's Eastern Shore is a place where traditions run deep -- watermen have worked the Chesapeake Bay for generations, and community gatherings around food and drink are woven into the fabric of daily life. When Wicomico County Tourism launched the Good Beer Festival in 2011 at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, they tapped into that tradition with a modern twist. Rather than the typical daytime-only format, they added a Friday evening session, creating the only nighttime beer festival on the Eastern Shore.
Pemberton Historical Park provides a setting that no convention center or parking lot can replicate. The wooded grounds and historic buildings create an atmosphere that feels more like a community gathering than a commercial beer event. Breweries from across the mid-Atlantic region set up alongside Maryland Eastern Shore locals like Evolution Craft Brewing and Burnish Beer Co., giving attendees a mix of familiar favorites and new discoveries. The addition of artisan vendors selling handmade goods, combined with live music and games, makes Good Beer Festival as much a craft fair as a beer festival.
Fifteen years in, the Good Beer Festival has become a fall anchor for Salisbury and the broader Eastern Shore community.
