The Cape May Harvest Brew Fest is a free-admission outdoor festival held at the historic Emlen Physick Estate in Cape May, New Jersey. Presented by Cape May MAC (Museums+Arts+Culture), the 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, September 19, from 10 AM to 5 PM. The festival celebrates the fall harvest season with local craft beers, food vendors, artisan crafts, and live music on the beautiful grounds of the 1879 Victorian estate.
Admission to the festival grounds is free, though food, beer, and craft items are available for purchase from individual vendors. The event features local breweries including Cape May Brewing Co., COHO Brewing, Ludlam Island Brewery, and Mudhen Brewing alongside local food vendors and artisans. Proceeds support Cape May MAC's Museum Education programs.
The Cape May Harvest Brew Fest is a celebration of fall on the Jersey Shore, hosted on the grounds of one of Cape May's most iconic landmarks — the Emlen Physick Estate. Cape May MAC, the organization responsible for preserving and promoting Cape May's cultural heritage, launched the festival as a way to bring the community together during the harvest season while supporting its Museum Education programs.
Cape May MAC (originally the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts) was formed in September 1970 by a small group of Cape May citizens with the express purpose of rescuing the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate from demolition. The 18-room Victorian mansion, designed by architect Frank Furness, is now a centerpiece of Cape May's historic district. The Harvest Brew Fest transforms the estate's grounds into a festive fall celebration that honors both the building's heritage and Cape May's contemporary craft culture.
The festival has a distinct community-first atmosphere. Unlike large-scale beer festivals that charge steep admission, the Harvest Brew Fest is free to enter. Local breweries like Cape May Brewing Co., Mudhen Brewing, Ludlam Island Brewery, and COHO Brewing pour their latest seasonal offerings, while local food vendors and artisans round out the experience. Live music and kid-friendly activities make it a true family event.
