The New York State Craft Brewers Festival returns to Buffalo Canalside on Saturday, June 13, 2026. This renowned event brings together more than 50 breweries from every region of New York State, offering enthusiasts a rare opportunity to sample unique and award-winning beers. The festival includes live music, a food truck rodeo, vendors, and games along the scenic Buffalo waterfront.
The festival is a fundraising event produced by the New York State Brewers Association, with all profits used to directly support the craft beer industry in New York. This is a 21+ event — all attendees, including designated drivers, must be 21 or older with valid photo ID.
The New York State Craft Brewers Festival at Buffalo Canalside is the flagship Buffalo edition of a statewide festival series produced by the New York State Brewers Association under its "Think NY, Drink NY" campaign. The association, which represents craft breweries across all regions of New York, created the festival series to showcase the state's diverse and rapidly growing craft beer industry.
Buffalo's Canalside — located at the historic terminus of the Erie Canal — provides a fitting venue for a celebration of New York craft brewing. The waterfront district has undergone a dramatic revitalization, transforming from industrial decline into one of Buffalo's most vibrant gathering spaces. The festival takes full advantage of the setting, spreading brewery tents, food trucks, music stages, and games across the waterfront plaza.
The VIP experience is a standout feature, offering a Beer & Wing pairing at Southern Tier Brewing Company's Buffalo taproom across from the festival grounds. Guests enjoy five unique chicken wings paired with five craft beers from different regions of the state before gaining early entry to the main festival — a distinctly Buffalo twist on the VIP beer festival experience.
