ZOObrew is Oklahoma City's largest outdoor craft beer festival, held annually at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden. The 17th annual edition takes place Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Presented by Byron's Liquor Warehouse, this 21-and-older event invites guests to explore the zoo after dark while sampling craft beer, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages — all to benefit wildlife conservation.
General Admission tickets ($75) include unlimited beverage sampling, carousel rides, animal enrichment activities, and caretaker chats. PREbrew tickets ($150) grant early access starting at 4 PM, along with food from PREbrew food stations, a limited-edition T-shirt, tasting mug, swag bag, and exclusive animal encounters with flamingos, honey badgers, Galapagos tortoises, and giraffes. The top-tier Safari Speakeasy experience ($300) adds curated hors d'oeuvres and an hour of premium beverage samplings.
The 2025 edition raised over $333,000, with $25,000 designated for conservation of Grauer's gorillas in Africa and arboreal species in Brazil.
ZOObrew was created in 2009 by the Oklahoma Zoological Society as a creative fundraising event that would merge two beloved experiences — craft beer and zoo visits — into something entirely new. The concept was simple: open the zoo after hours for adults, pour great beer, and let the animals provide the entertainment. It resonated immediately with Oklahoma City's beer-loving community.
Over 17 years, ZOObrew has evolved from a modest tasting event into OKC's premier outdoor craft beer festival. The addition of tiered ticket options — from General Admission to the luxurious Safari Speakeasy — has expanded the experience while maintaining the event's core mission: raising funds for wildlife conservation. The PREbrew experience, with its exclusive animal feeding encounters and behind-the-scenes access, has become particularly coveted.
The festival's impact extends well beyond a single evening. Proceeds from ZOObrew directly support the zoo's conservation programs, with significant contributions going to protect endangered species around the globe. For attendees, it's a chance to sip craft beer while strolling past elephant habitats and primate exhibits — an experience no traditional beer festival can match.
