Charleston Beer Fest was created as a celebration of craft beer with a purpose — all proceeds benefit Palmetto Community Care, a nonprofit providing essential services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Charleston area. What began as a community fundraiser has grown into South Carolina's largest craft beer celebration.
The festival found its home at Riverfront Park in North Charleston, a scenic waterfront venue that provides ample space for the growing event. The park's location along the Cooper River offers a relaxed, open-air atmosphere that has become synonymous with the festival experience.
Over the years, Charleston Beer Fest has expanded from a modest gathering to a major regional event featuring 75+ breweries. The VIP experience, with its exclusive Oasis and Swag Bar, has added a premium tier that draws dedicated craft beer enthusiasts. Despite its growth, the festival has never lost sight of its charitable mission — every ticket sold directly supports Palmetto Community Care's work in the community.
