Dells On Tap is Wisconsin Dells' celebration of Wisconsin's proud brewing heritage, featuring seasonal craft beer events overlooking the Wisconsin River at Newport Park in downtown Wisconsin Dells. The flagship Fall Tap Takeover in 2026 runs October 16-17, expanding from a single day to a two-day Craft Beer Walk and Fall Tap Takeover experience.
The Fall Tap Takeover Combo tickets run $80 for general admission and $105 for VIP, which includes early entry and special perks. VIP attendees enjoy early access starting at 11:30 AM with the brewers, a commemorative VIP tasting mug, pretzel necklace, and a food voucher. General admission runs from 1 to 5 PM with a tasting mug included. Dells On Tap also hosts a Signature Springtime Sips event in April ($50 GA).
Organized by the Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau, Dells On Tap invites visitors to sample a full spectrum of Wisconsin craft beer while speaking directly with the brewmasters. The scenic Newport Park location overlooking the Wisconsin River makes for a memorable festival setting in one of Wisconsin's most popular vacation destinations.
Dells On Tap grew out of Wisconsin Dells' identity as a premier vacation destination. The Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau recognized that craft beer culture was becoming an increasingly important draw for visitors, and created Dells On Tap as a way to celebrate Wisconsin's brewing heritage while giving visitors another reason to explore the Dells.
The event has evolved into a multi-seasonal experience, with the Fall Tap Takeover serving as the flagship event each October and the Signature Springtime Sips adding a spring edition in April. For 2026, the fall event expanded from one day to a two-day format featuring both a Craft Beer Walk and the Fall Tap Takeover, reflecting growing demand.
Newport Park, overlooking the Wisconsin River in downtown Wisconsin Dells, provides a scenic natural backdrop that sets Dells On Tap apart from urban beer festivals. The combination of Wisconsin's craft beer scene, the natural beauty of the Dells, and the area's tourism infrastructure makes this festival a unique offering in the state's crowded beer festival calendar.
